On Windows 10, you may need to click More Details at the bottom. Here's what they've said:įor this one, since the Editor is not opening on your end, can you try clearing the registry for Snagit? These are the steps that you can follow:-open your task manager (ctrl + alt + delete) and click on the Processes tab (Windows 7 only) and make sure SnagIt32.exe, SnagItEditor.exe, and SnagPriv.exe are not running in that list. Aghh! I've been sent a solution by support, but I do not have time to check it out until I get back. The new feature where you can create a collection of "starred" quick effects from various tools that all live in one place is like a dream come true for me.Yes, I left the weekend free to create my conference presentation. One more thing: I've only been using Snagit 2019.0.1 for a few minutes but wow, am I happy with it! It fixes a lot of the annoying behaviors of Snagit4 (such as seemingly randomly switching tools, etc.). Visually I can barely tell the two versions apart, as all my things are there, and all my preferences are remembered. Snagit 2019.0.1 DID recognize all my quick effects and my various preferences. I don't know if there are any issues with doing that, or if you can run them both at the same time, but I can switch from one to the other by quitting one and opening the other, so I can rollback if necessary. Both are there, and they run independently. Snagit 2019.0.1 did NOT overwrite Snagit 4. I'm going to reply to my own question (for the sake of others who might have the same questions).
